Is Bryan suitable for beginners?

Very much so. He is simply knitted flat on a pair of 4mm knitting needles, making him an excellent project for a beginner: no need to knit in the round.

Basic skills that you need to know:

Stocking stitch, increasing by knitting into the front and back of a stitch (inc 1) and decreasing by knitting 2 stitches together (k2tog). There’s colour-changing on some rows, so you will need to use Intarsia technique to change yarns mid-row. Head on over to my how to knit tutorials if you need any advice!
